STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Plin-Mar Productions took over Aunt Butchie's of Richmond Valley Monday to film the pilot of their upcoming TV show.
The streaming series -- titled "Coveting Veronica" -- features former soap opera star Alicia Minshew, known for her role as Kendall Hart in ABC's "All My Children," as the title character. Boxer-turned-actor John Duddy, who played Ken Buchanan in the Robert DeNiro film "Hands of Stone" co-stars as her husband, Bill.
Edward Cordiano, who has guest-starred in CBS's "Blue Bloods," plays Veronica's best friend and potential love interest. Cordiano, btw, lives in New Jersey but said he considers the streets of Eltingville the stomping grounds of his youth.
The drama-comedy follows how the love triangle unfolds, using Veronica and Bill's wedding as the backdrop. On set, Minshew filmed the episode in the wedding dress she wore nine years prior, wedding her IRL husband, Richie Herschenfeld.
Toni Ann Marcolini, a former Staten Island resident and graduate of St. John's University, takes the reins of the project as writer....

It's pretty safe to say that since we live in the tri-state area, you can find good Italian in every neighborhood. But if you want THE BEST Italian, you need to make your way over to Staten Island to visit my friends at Aunt Butchies of Brooklyn! I legitimately drove three hours from Long Island just to get my hands on some of their mouth watering meatballs and every dish that I tried was EXCELLENT!

It’s the official launch of The Richmond Valley Merchants Association. Members of the new business organization hope to promote local merchants in the Page Avenue, Richmond Valley Road and Arthur Kill Road Corridor.
Within one mile of where were standing there's the most private commercial investment anywhere on Staten Island were doing great things down here this area is improving and developing at a phenomenal pace, said Joe Borelli, Councilman 51st District.
The idea for the Merchants Association was sparked by former Councilman Vincent Ignizio who approached the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation after talking to local store owners, like Pete Marcolini, about boosting business in the area.
“When we first opened my family thought we were crazy, this was very desolate when we were looking to rent and we did it.” said Pete Marcolini- Aunt Butchies Restaurant Owner.
